In this 90 minute Sleep Masterclass, Davina will share insights on the work she does helping people with their mental and emotional health using the sleep like meditation practice yoga nidra. She’ll dive into some of the science and examples of when you can use sleep to enhance your work in terms of creativity, problem solving and also healing.
You will learn:
How to harness the natural biorhythms of the body for better sleep
Breathing exercises to help you get to sleep
How to use enhanced naps to support your energy throughout the day
What happens to your brain when you sleep
How to use your sleep for better mental health
The session will end with a 30 minute Yoga Nidra Meditation designed to activate your night-time dreams.
ABOUT YOGA NIDRA MEDITATION
Yoga nidra known in English as 'yogic sleep' is a state of consciousness between waking and dreaming. It is a deep form of relaxation using guided breath, body and awareness. It is this complete state of non-doing that allows the body to access its own regenerative and healing powers that sleep provide.
Yoga nidra can help you relax, sleep better, alleviate stress and anxiety and integrate traumatic experiences.
WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
Anybody is welcome to join this class. No meditation experience or knowledge of Yoga Nidra meditation is needed. The meditation will be fully guided is best experienced in a comfortable lying down position.
You may find this course useful if you have been struggling with getting to sleep or staying asleep.
