BALANCING YOUR CHAKRAS THROUGH YOGA NIDRA
AN 8 WEEK COURSE
STARTING TUESDAY 10TH JULY 7.30PM
$240 (LIMITED TO 8 PARTICIPANTS)
Combining the ancient science of chakras and yoga nidra this course blends Eastern wisdom with the practical concerns of modern day to day living. Based on Anodea Judith's brilliant book "Eastern Body Western Mind, Psychology and the Chakra System as a Path to the Self" this course will provide you with insights to how the chakras are developed throughout childhood and into adulthood being while lying in the deeply relaxed state of yoga nidra.
You may experience flashes of insight related to thoughts, beliefs or memories you have during each meditation or maybe just deep relaxation, whatever arises during the meditation we learn to accept it just as it is.
Each week we explore a different chakra working our way up from the root chakra to the crown chakra and then integrating the 7 chakras in the final week. The core part of the class requires you to do nothing but lie down relax and be guided through the meditation, however, there will be time for sharing, observations and questions at the end of each cfor those who wish to participate.
A recording of the meditation will be available to all participants that miss the class.

ABOUT YOGA NIDRA
Yoga nidra known in English as 'yogic sleep' is a state of consciousness between waking and dreaming. It is a deep form of relaxation using guided breath, body and awareness. It is this complete state of non-doing that allows the body to access its own regenerative and healing powers and frees the mind allowing it to unlock inner guidance, wisdom and insight to problems beyond your waking state.
Yoga nidra can help you relax, sleep better, alleviate stress and anxiety and overcome trauma.
The art of Chakras (meaning wheel - referring to the the energy center spinning at each point in the body) is an ancient science developed in India over 4000 years ago, there are many chakras in the body but the most well known chakras are the 7 Chakras running up the comlunm of the spine to the top of the head: Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown.
Each chakra has different characteristics related to ourselves and the world around us. By recognising any excessive or deficient chakras we are able to put together an internal framework to change long held thoughts or beliefs for the better.
